1. Trampolines injuries came in 12th out of 26 recreational activities evaluated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) for the year of 1998. The top activities were: 1) Basketball; 2)Bicycles; 3)Football; 4)Baseball/Softball; 5)Playground Equipment; 6)Exercise Equipment; 7)Soccer; 8)ATV's Mopeds, Minibikes; 9)Swimming Pools & Equipment; 10)Skating (excluding Inline); and 11)Inline Skating.
N.B.: Better to recommend buying a trampoline than a swing set!
2. Trampolines in use has increased more than 2200% from 1989 to 1998.
3. Trampoline injuries based on exposure data has decreased from 3% in 1989 to less than 1% in 1998.
4. Nerve damage injuries represent 0.001% of the population exposed to trampolines in 1998.
