Trampoline Safety

  • Proper warm-up should precede trampoline use for all ages

  • The most important aspect of safety on a trampoline is control; uncontrolled bouncing should not be allowed.

  • No double-bouncing ("popcorn" or affecting another person's bounce) allowed, this is extremely dangerous and can cause serious injuries

  • Young children should always have an adult supervising them (but NOT jump with them due to the difference in size and weight. Broken bones in young children can damage their growth plates).

  • NO rough play, tag or acrobatic tricks with others

  • Never play UNDER a trampoline

  • Landing or standing on pads should be avoided.

  • All jumpers should perform only within their own ability level

  • Do not accept "I dare you’s" on a trampoline

  • All jumpers should learn how to perform a "safety stop" which involves flexing the knees and coming to a quick stop with hands forward when landing on a trampoline.

  • Use of trampolines under the influence of drugs or alcohol is ALWAYS prohibited

  • Never jump off a trampoline, always perform a safety stop first
